Art Studio Assistant – Taxidermy Studio (Chester, NY)

Our newly relocated taxidermy studio in Chester, NY (Lower Hudson Valley) is seeking local reliable, detail-oriented assistants for part-time (1-2 days per week) or per diem (as-needed) work.
Please note: We are not looking for help at the Brooklyn location. This is NOT a taxidermy apprenticeship, and we do not offer apprenticeships at this time.

Web & E-Commerce Studio Assistant

Responsibilities include:

• Photograph, edit, list and ship items on Squarespace, Etsy, Shopify, Ebay, Facebook, and other platforms

• Manage emails and e-commerce platform messages with professionalism and excellent written communication

• Pack and ship very fragile items; transport packages to USPS, UPS, and FedEx

• Maintain, clean, and organize an art studio environment

• Assist with basic prepping and finishing tasks (sewing, sanding, staining, painting, using adhesives)

Requirements:

• Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable

• Familiarity with Gmail, Apple products, product photography and photo editing using iPhone and/or Photoshop, and the e-commerce platforms listed

• Strong spelling, grammar, punctuation, and communication skills

• Experience shipping and handling fragile materials

• Some tasks may transition to remote work in the future

Compensation: $20/hr
