Art Studio Assistant – Taxidermy Studio (Sugar Loaf, NY)

Our newly relocated taxidermy studio in Sugar Loaf, NY (Lower Hudson Valley) is seeking reliable, detail-oriented assistants for part-time, per diem (as-needed) work.
Please note: This is not a taxidermy apprenticeship, but a supportive role in a creative studio environment.

Web & E-Commerce Assistant

Responsibilities include:

• Photograph, edit, and list items on Shopify, Etsy, Squarespace, and other platforms

• Manage emails and e-commerce platform messages with professionalism and excellent written communication

• Pack and ship fragile items; transport packages to USPS, UPS, and FedEx

• Maintain and clean an organized studio environment

• Assist with basic prepping and finishing tasks (sanding, sewing, staining, painting)

Requirements:

• Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable

• Familiarity with Gmail, Apple products, photo editing, and the e-commerce platforms listed

• Strong spelling, grammar, punctuation, and communication skills

• Careful handling of fragile materials

• Some tasks may transition to remote work in the future

Compensation: Starting at $20/hr
