Chipmunk Taxidermy Class

  • Brooklyn Taxidermy 681 Morgan Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

Please join us for a workshop dedicated to chipmunk taxidermy. Students will learn the basic taxidermy skinning and mounting processes hands-on. All materials - including an ethically sourced specimen, professional taxidermy mannequin form, and glass eyes - will be provided for each student. Each students will leave the class with their own finished taxidermy chipmunk. Students are encouraged to bring miniature props if they'd like to decorate their piece; a select amount of props (wood base, acorns, pine cones, moss, etc) will be provided free of charge by the instructor to those interested. Students can choose between making a 5 inch tall standing upright chipmunk or a chipmunk on all fours. Class cost is $195. Please use the drop-down menu to choose your class date. There are no refunds and no rescheduling for students who miss or cancel their class. Class size is limited to 4 students per class for each student to receive maximum step-by-step attention from the instructor to obtain the best end results. All classes are BYOB if you like. Glass domes to protect/encase your creation will be available at the class for $20.

Please note: This is an excellent beginner’s class. No former taxidermy experience is required. No harsh or dangerous chemicals are used. Everyone will be provided with gloves. All animals are disease free and were already deceased, no specimens are killed for the sake of taxidermy. For questions, email us through the contact page.
